Samiksha K M
Born in the serene land of Heritage city, Hassan, Samiksha is a reputed young artiste with fineness in both music and Dance genres of Classical Art.
A B E graduate from VTU, Belagavi, she holds a master’s degree in Bharathanatyam from Dr. Gangubai Hanagal Music and Performing Arts University, Mysuru.
Having been initiated into the world of classical Dance under the kind guidance of Guru Ambala Rajeshwari, Samiksha honed her skills further under the masterly guidance of Sri Vijayakumar from Chennai.
Having recieved initial training in flute by eminent flautist Vid. A V Prakash, she continues to learn from Vid. A P Krishnaprasad.
She receives expert training in Nattuvangam from veteran mridangam artiste Vid. Nagai P Sriram from Chennai.
She is the proud recipient of CCRT scholarship for young artists from Ministry of Culture, Government of India under both junior and senior categories.
She has successfully achieved distinction in proficiency grade of examination conducted by Karnataka State Education and Assessment Board.
She holds the esteemed Grade B accreditation as an artist from Doordarshan, Bengaluru, a testament to her dedication and mastery.
She heads the ABHIJNA School of Dance in Hassan, where she upskills hundreds of enthusiasts in Bharathanatyam.
She has performed in many prestigious platforms including TAPAS Natyotsava in Chennai, Yuva Nrityotsava, VRC festival in Bengaluru, Natya sabha in Mysure and the like.
Samiksha is well received both by connoisseurs and critics as an artiste of high caliber.
