Pooja Sugam

Bestowed with the knowledge of Music and Dance, she is a keen practitioner with high reverence to both practice and performance.

Pooja has deep roots in Classical Dance as her mother, an exponent of Bharathanatyam, Dr Kripa Phadke nurtured her with the fineness of the art form steering to great success in achieving proficiency in true sense.

She is further trained by illustrious dancer- Sri. Vijayakumar from Chennai in Bharathanatyam and renowned percussionist Vid. Nagai P Sriram in Nattuvangam to reach out to vaster horizon of the art form.

She has successfully achieved distinction in proficiency grade of examination conducted by Karnataka State Education and Assessment Board.

Having master degrees in both Music and Dance from Mysore university and Dr Gangubai Hanagal university of music and performing Arts respectively, Pooja is a recipient of CCRT scholarship awarded for young artists from Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.

She holds the esteemed Grade B accreditation as an artist from Doordarshan, Bengaluru, a testament to her dedication and prowess.

Her artistry has graced prestigious stages including TAPAS Natyotsava in Chennai, Yuva Nrityotsava, VRC festival in Bengaluru, Nrityasambhrama, Natya sabha in Mysure and many other concerts across the Nation winning high accolades from both connoisseurs and fourth estate.
